Ram Varadarajan, Chairman of the Tournament Committee
A cricket buff himself, Ram is the President & CEO of Arcot Systems, an authentication software company headquarterd in Sunnyvale , CA . He was formerly Executive Director, Research and Development at Informix Software where he was responsible for security and connectivity products. He previously served as Project Manager, Distributed Security Systems at Odyssey Research. Ram holds an M.S. from Louisiana State University and a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology.
Ram leads the management team of the US National Junior Cricket Tournament. He is responsible for raising funds, and overseeing the preparation and managing of the tournament.

Naresh Sadasivan, Tournament Finance & Administration
Naresh Sadasivan is the COO and Head of Sales for Robust Designs, a Business Intelligence software company. He was previously a Senior Vice President at iGate Corporation in Pittsburgh , PA. Prior to that, Naresh held positions at Far East Computers, Mastek Limited, Wyeth Limited and NELCO. Naresh holds an MBA from Bombay University .
At CCA Naresh is responsible for the finance function and assists Ram as the overall coordinator of the tournament organization.

Vijay Pradhan, Tournament Operations
Vijay Pradhan, an ardent cricket fan and a player himself, is a senior IT executive currently with nVIDIA. With an IT career spanning over two decades, Vijay has worked as Project Manager, Senior IT Consultant, Systems Architect for IBM, PricewaterhouseCoopers and several others helping companies like Intel, AMD, Disney, Atmel, Seminis in technology implementation. Vijay holds an M.S. in Solid State Physics and Computer Science.
Vijay now brings his huge experience in large project execution to the USNJCT as VP of Operations. In this role, Vijay is responsible for orchestrating the conduct of the tournament – from planning to execution.

Hemant Buch, Media Relations
Hemant has a Masters degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Hemant is with a leading High-Tech company in Silicon Valley & is a visiting professor at San Jose State University in California .
Hemant is culturally active in the Indian community and enjoy unquestionable respect, credibility and confidence of the local community.

Nitin Deo, Tournament Marketing
Nitin, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Business Development at Ponte Solutions is a seasoned executive with experience in Electronic Design Automation and Semiconductors. Prior to Ponte, Nitin was with Magma Design Automation as Vice President of Sales for Japan and helped take Magma public in 2001. Nitin also held senior positions in Moscape, Mayasoft, Synopsys and also worked with Fujitsu and Mitsubishi.
Nitin holds a BSEE ( Mysore , India ); an MSEE (Virginia Tech) and an MBA ( San Jose ).

Hemant Gandhi, Tournament Sponsorship Sales
Hemant Gandhi is the Founder, President & CEO, Cupertek Inc. Prior to starting Cupertek, Hemant was EVP of Business Development for KPIT Cummins Infosystems Ltd., a publicly traded company on Bombay Stock Exchange. Prior to KPIT Cummins, Hemant started and grew Challenger Systems into a $25MM company providing CRM solutions to retail and manufacturing companies. Hemant also had stints at Fujitsu ICIM and Tata Consultancy Services.
Hemant is a Charter Member of TiE, a prestigious, global organization dedicated to the advancement of entrepreneurship. Hemant was elected on Board of Directors of TiE Silicon Valley in January 2005.
Hemant is deeply involved with cricket in the bay area. He has been president of Sunnyvale Cricket Club, has been a leader and player in A and B division league in Northern California, was involved with fund raising for NCCA and instrumental in arranging fund raisers with the help of Sir Garfield Sobers and Sunil Gavaskar.
For the 2007 USNJCT, Hemant is responsible for generating sponsorship interests for the tournament and raising funds for the conduct of the tournament. |
